East of Crete is the prefecture of Lasithi. The county bordering the Libyan Sea, the Cretan and the Carpathian Sea and if you are looking for quiet holidays, clean beaches, monuments and traditional villages, you were in the right place!
The capital of the prefecture is Agios Nikolaos,  a well-organized tourist town with a beautiful harbor.
In the middle of the city you can see Lake Voulismeni, linked to the harbor by a canal. Nearby you can find the cosmopolitan resort of Elounda, where you will find idyllic beaches and luxurious hotel facilities and opposite the historic island of Spinalonga.

Located in the county is also Sitia. Palekastro a popular destination with great beaches and the palm forest of Vai, one of the most famous sights in the county.
