The historic town of Masham is located in Wensleydale by the river Ure in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and close to Nidderdale which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Masham is a picturesque town with one of the largest market squares in Yorkshire. There is a twice-weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays where a great variety of local produce is available. There are also plenty of interesting individual shops dotted around the town centre.
There is a good variety of visitor accommodation available with a number of hotels and B&B’s as well as two caravan parks. For nature lovers there are many delightful walks through breathtaking scenery where an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna can be enjoyed.
Masham is also home to two breweries, Theakstones and Black Sheep, where the making of ales in the traditional way can be observed in the on site visitor centres.
