Barnard Castle is a bustling historical market town in Teesdale, County Durham built around an impressive ancient castle.

The town is full of unique historical buildings from various periods of its history and is fascinating for visitors. The curiously shaped Butter Market building is a great example of 18th Century design and is a popular visitor attraction.
