Dønna muncipality in Norway has approximately 1.550 inhabitants and covers a area of 192,0 km2. The administrative center is Solfjellsjøen. The principal industries are agriculture, seafarming, fishing and public service. The region has a varied landscape with high mountains, forest-clad hills, large fields and a beautiful archipelago. Dønnesfjellet road all the way to the top of the mountain “Dønnesfjellet” or a hike up the mountain “Dønnamannen”, provides a magnificent view of the mountain islands along the coast of Helgeland. Dønna has much to offer – proud cultural traditions and a fascinating history.
