This privacy statement covers all processing of personal data that is processed over the websites of VERASEC.
A law came into effect in June 2012 and that is why this cookie statement was published. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will apply as of 25 May 2018. In order to comply with the GDPR, we amended this statement on 16 April 2018 and added som enuances on 23 May 2018.
The services provided by VERASEC are offered on the travelguideurope.eu website. You will find a lot of information about traveling within Europe. VERASEC has its office in Loenen aan de Vecht, netherlands and is registered under registration number 30202291 in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce in Utrecht. This legal entity is referred to as “VERASEC” and the website are referred to as “our websites” or “the websites”.
The websites use cookies. Cookies are small files that are sent with pages from a website to your browser (eg Internet Explorer or Firefox) and stored on the hard drive of your computer, with the intention that your browser will return this information when you visit that page, so that you will be recognized as a user on a next visit. During the use of our websites, VERASEC and / or third parties may collect information about your use of our websites and other websites.
Reactions
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the response form and also the IP address of the visitor and the browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymous string, created on the basis of your e-mail address (this is also called a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. The privacy policy page can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your response is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your response.
When you leave a comment, that reaction and the metadata of that reaction are kept forever. In this way we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up reactions instead of moderating them.
For users who registered on our website (if applicable), we also store personal information in their user profile. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the username can not be changed). Website administrators can also view and change this information.
Media
If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, you can prevent your images from uploading with EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the website can download the images from the website and view the location data.
Functional cookies
When you leave a comment on our site, you can indicate whether we can store your name, your e-mail address and website in a cookie. We do this for your convenience so that you do not need to re-enter this information for a new response. These cookies are valid for one year.

Analytics cookies
Through our websites, cookies are placed from the American company Google as part of the “Google Analytics”, “Google Youtube” and “Google Adsense” services. We use these services to track and get reports on how visitors use our websites, provide you with videos and cpompensating the costs of publishing this website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have entered into a processor agreement with Google and have prohibited Google from using the obtained information for other Google services. We have also disabled the forwarding of IP addresses to Google via Google Analytics and Google AdWords.

Goal and storage period
We offer via our service the possibility to ask questions by email, where you are asked to fill in various details. You choose which data you provide, including potentially (sensitive) personal information. The data you send us will be kept for a maximum of 2 years after it has been used for the complete answering and processing of your question. During that period you can ask follow-up questions.
The Tax and Customs Administration requires that we keep the financial administration for seven years (Article 52 of the Dutch General Taxes Act). For this purpose all financial information, invoices and orders are retained for 7 years after the end of the obligation arising from the payment.
We offer a newsletter with which we want to inform interested parties about our products and / or services. As long as you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will save your e-mail address. Each newsletter contains a link with which you can unsubscribe.
Provision to third parties
Responses from visitors are guided through an automated spam detection service.
Our websites are hosted by Antagonist, Enschede.
Our page statistics are maintained by Google. We have forbidden Google from using the information obtained for other Google services.
Our administration is provided by Klomp Finance Solutions, Maarssen. They take care of our financial administration, annual accounts and all tax administration.
Your information is not provided to others than these parties, unless we are legally obliged to do so.
The above parties can provide this information to third parties if they are legally obliged to do so, or if third parties process the information on their behalf.
We have signed a processor agreement as referred to in article 28 of the AVG with the above mentioned parties, which are designated as “processors”.
Your rights
