Weisenheim am Berg has 1700 inhabitants and an area of 9,2 km². It was first documentary mentioned in 771 as “Wizzinheim”.
The protestant church is a gothic building from about 1300, the choir bears wall paintings from about 1380, the nave was reconstructed in the 19th century.
